We experience a Full Moon in the sign of Sagittarius, coupled with a Lunar Eclipse, on Friday, June 5th at 3:12 PM EDT – this Full Moon is the final Full Moon of the Spring season and highlights energies of freedom, optimism, and spontaneity. However, as this is also a Lunar Eclipse, there is a lot of energy with this Full Moon that relates to release, self-discovery, and potential breakthroughs. If anything has been standing in the way, this is an opportunity to clear it, and move ahead with fiery passion and optimism.
Freeing, Optimistic, Spontaneous
Sagittarius is one of the fire signs of the zodiac – there is strong will and determination, a desire for knowledge and truth, a fighter for freedom in all ways, and the capacity to blaze through anything standing in the way. Sagittarius has the beautiful ability to remain optimistic, even if it may seem to most that things are completely falling apart – as a fire element, Sag appreciates that fire is the ultimate transmuter, destroying one form so that another form may come forth. Within this, there is a freeing energy that is like no other. Sagittarius doesn’t become too attached to anyone or anything, knowing that the only thing that remains constant is change, and for better or worse, the Archer of the zodiac is going to make the best of it!
This Full Moon in Sagittarius is the final Full Moon of the Spring season, and with that, there is an amazing opportunity for us to reflect upon this past season of our lives and evaluate what we have learned and experienced, where we have seen growth along our personal paths, as well as what we have had to let go of or may now realize it’s time to let go of – the energy of Sagittarius may assist us with this, as it embraces change, knowing that change facilitates freedom. And with this also being a Lunar Eclipse, the potential for release, pushing past barriers, letting go of limitations, and amazing breakthroughs are all very real during this Full Moon. We are being called to fully release anything that we feel or that we recognize has been holding us back, whether real or perceived, knowing that releasing what does not serve us or what we do not need is a true key to experiencing freedom.
Oh, and Sag energy is one of ‘the glass is half full’ – no matter what may be going on in the outside world, Sagittarius knows that focusing on what we don’t want to experience usually doesn’t get us what we do want to experience. Instead of the ‘woe is me’ attitude, this Full Moon will invite us to be bold and fiery from the inside out, shine our lights brightly, and believe that the future belongs to those who are willing to believe it can and will be better than it has been, as long as we are ready to let go of what is not serving us (individually and collectively), and set our sights on our highest dreams and visions – just as the Archer aims his bow precisely toward the target! So if we’ve been lacking a healthy sense of optimism over this past season, we are being asked to embrace a higher way of thinking and step fully into the power we have as creator beings.
For those of us lacking in spontaneity, Sag calls us to embrace it in a big way! Sometimes the best way to release, let go, and move through is to move into the energy of spontaneity. Shake things up a bit! Do what feels good in the moment – immerse yourself in what you’re being called to experience right now! Staying stuck in an ever-constant routine or pattern or way of being is not always going to serve us. Breakthroughs usually require breaking through patterns and ways of being. So for those of us who may be feeling stuck or in a rut, this Sagittarius Full Moon is assisting us in a big way right now. Sag reminds us that there is so much awaiting us, so much to explore, to learn, to discover, and to experience, if only we are willing to get out of our own way and follow what we know to be true in our hearts!
Wishing all of you abundant Full Moon blessings!
